YMHA/JCC Troop 26

Meeting Agenda

Each meeting was packed with activities. Time was dedicated to serious activities and time was dedicated to having fun. Parents who brought their children from Dickson City or Olyphant usually stayed throughout the meeting to watch the activities. Maybe that’s why most of the young scouts were so well behaved. After the opening ceremony, inspection, and drill, the scouts broke up into separate classes or participated in a troop demonstration of ham radio operation, first aid, knot tying relays, or other troop activity. Then came the best part of the meeting: game time. This was when the smallest, the quickest, or the strongest excelled. It was a meeting for kids. The adults looked on from a distance. The senior patrol leader led us in reciting the scout prayer and the troop bugler, Murray Khan, ended the meeting with the playing of taps. A typical meeting agenda is provided below.
